A Midsummer Nights Dream, performed at Styal Mill - Shakespeare's most magical production where the lives of the immortals Oberon and Titania cross with mortal lovers in Athens - with a little help from Puck, and a little interference from a group of rehearsing Mechanicals.
Founded in 1924, the Wilmslow Green Room Society is one of the oldest Amateur Dramatic Societies in the UK. In the beginning we were strolling players performing wherever a venue could be found. In 1989, after a superb fund raising effort, a victorian cottage and an old shirt factory were converted into a modern theatre.
Our programme of productions is chosen to provide a varied and challenging season of plays, using innovative and adventurous stage designs, well supported by local people.
